A little bit of local restaurant news ... one of our favorite chefs in town, Jeff Hunt, recently moved from Marz to the Astro Lounge. This is significant because now you can get Jeff Hunt vittles at a more reasonable price point. And get this (drumroll please) ... BREAKFAST! That's right, suckas ... the Astro is doing breakfast on weekends and as a nod to those of us that think 3PM when we think breakfast, it's an all day thing. Plus ... Astro's happy hour is not only daily from 5-7PM but all day and night Sunday through Wednesday.
I've been in to sample the wares and they're damn good. Jeff takes food very serously and he's doing a great job even within a more bar menu context. The hush puppies are to die for and there's some good stuff on the breakfast menu.
