Eat Food. Not Too Much. Mostly Plants.

Michael Pollen's new book In Defense of Food just came out just in time for your New Year's resolutions. I just finished reading The Omnivore's Dilemmna, his previous book and it was awesome. Of course The Botany of Desire is also an amazing read. I can't say enough about this guy. He's a journalism professor at Berkeley and an avid gardener and foodie. Mas info can be had at MichaelPollen.com including lots of magazine articles and speaking engagements including a stop in Portland in February.

Amazon has it on sale ... can't recommend it enough. Though I have to confess that as I write this I'm busy digesting a huge Argentine BBQ meal that was pretty weak on the vegetables. :) But that's the deal with BBQ here. Yer lucky if you get a salad.
