O the loose ends ... Ahhh the deadline!

well, we're about two weeks out from our departure time and it's getting exciting round here. there are loose ends everywhere waiting to be tied up (moving out of our international headquarters in the upstairs office of the old Grove building, organizing our homes & stuff, wrapping up corporate & accounting stuff, wrapping up boardmember duties at KPOV, arranging good lovin for our critters, AND throwing a ragin' halloween party ... all while trying to catch up with friends before shoving off for 3 1/2 months)! time is definately ticking ...

we also had to go spread the love to our dear friends Cambria and Tim (Catimbria ... how would you say it?). They are going nuts in McMinnville, a vineyard heavy / culturally deprived town an hour outside Portland. O, the things we do for love (love of wine, love of partners, etc.). we joined Cori and Regan on the trip, so of course we hit up P-town! shopped and ate ALL DAY LONG, you know how we doit ( :

this last wednesday, october 17th, we celebrated Gail's birthday ... lots of good friends, good food, and a lovely setting at Mike George's house. pretty sure she felt as loved as she is!

and speaking of parents, Pat and Tom (chris' folks) were in town for a couple days as well. it's good that we're getting quality time with the 'rents ... moms aren't terribly fond of seeing their [not very] little ones leave the country for months on end.

with all that said, i'm going to get back to work! stay tuned for some fotos ...

Denverpalooza 2!

Palooza 2 got off to a rippin' start with beers at the airport. It wasn't long before Pete wound up in a blanket making his woobie face.

Didn't stop him from making a solid showing on the tennis court the next afternoon. Drunk and hung over at the same time ... MVP! MVP!

Ball girl in effect.

Some clubbin' was done up. Denver's got some schwanky spots ... saw the Freestylers at Vinyl.

Night turned into day with revelers renewing their commitments like library books. But when Sybil left the party turned into a sit-in hunger strike with protesters pumping fists and refusing to eat any sort of fruit. Patty: "We need to get that Sybil K. Hebb and we need to tell her that ... NO FRUIT!" Exceptions were made for lime wedges.

Pete wound up again in a blanket.

Shotgunning = beer shower. A for effort!

Denver's all that.

Not so sober at the ball game. Sports fans are ... fascinating. The Rockies made the playoffs.

More I cannot disclose. Palooza!

Travel plans

Got our winter travel plans on lock ... super excited to get out and see the world a bit more.

Early November Erica's bouncing for Orlando/Miami and I'm headed to NYC to hang w/ some friends. We're meeting in NYC and then on 11/12 we head to the Caribbean (St. Maarten, French/Dutch Antilles) for a couple weeks (tan prepping and perfecting our yoga). Then 27 November we lift off for Buenos Aires and Argentina/Uruguay/Brazil for 3 months (till 21 Feb).

A number of people have talked about popping in to visit and/or roll around Argentina ... we'll have an apartment in the city and it's an incredible place to visit ... :)

Open Road

Can't say enough about being out in the desert, out on the road on a warm summer day. Tripping around the West by car ... so nice.

Food options are pretty lacking, though. I really want to know just how many crappy McWendy'sSubway "restaurants" there are out here. Is this the best we can do?

Soundtrack Edition

Couple standouts from the soundtrack of these days ... An-ten-nae's Acid Crunk mix is insane, and Edit's new album Certified Air Raid Material is bangin' and includes a nice megamix. Also very much enjoying ELF/Gabriel's CD that he handed out at Burning Man ... five or six tracks and a mix. Nice.
